MCCN Zenitel Tetra network sold to Entropia.

Eugene Beckers, CEO of Zenitel says: “With the sale of the real estate activities, the restructuring of the bank debt and the sale of the MCCN network assets, Zenitel concludes its strategic reorientation.
On the sale of the MCCN Network, Philip Vercruysse, CEO of Entropia Networks NV adds: “Through this acquisition, Entropia Networks NV becomes the largest commercial private Radio Trunking operator in the Benelux”,. After the finalization of the sale, Entropia will host more than 10.000 users on its networks in both the Netherlands and Belgium. Entropia is entitled to use the name Mission Critical Communication Networks or MCCN.
Together with this acquisition, Entropia signed long term contracts with Zenitel Belgium, Zenitel Netherlands and Flash Rental Services. Next to our excisting partner Cuna International, Entropia commercialise it's services via these four partners.
On 15th October 2009, the network infrastructure assets and customer contracts of MCCN NV and MCCN BV (Mission Critical Communication Networks) were sold to Entropia Networks NV.
ENTROPIA is the largest commercial Trunked Radio network operator in Belgium and The Netherlands. The network is based on TETRA and MPT technology with an independent IP Backbone structure to offer customers high-end service level agreements (SLA). Entropia is a mobile telecommunications network developed for the professional user. By use of the trunking technology, optimal radio communications for speech and data is possible. A customer does not need to invest in radio infrastructure.
