Webservice

From out-of-the-box data connection to intuitive report building, from impressive scalability to custom data security ... providing users with these tools should not be hard on IT!

A webservice can be described as an application component that is accessible via standard web protocols. A webservice makes it possible to call up a service from a client-computer to a server remotely (usually over the Internet).

The WebConnector is a webservice offered to the customer so that he can use the services of the Entropia Datacenter and the Entropia Network. Via this component, simple data can be sent and received between the walkie-talkie/radiotelephone in the field and the dispatching centre.

Using the WebConnector webservice offers a number of advantages. Each company that has programmer knowledge in-house can write applications that use the WebConnector and can thus set up communication with the Entropia Datacenter/Network very quickly. A webservice can be accessed on a large number of platforms and with the aid of a large number of programming languages. This is because the webservices specification is developed independent of a particular platform or technology.
