Smart solutions for a greener future. Our world. Our commitment. Our responsibility.

Purpose, Integrity, and Sustainability: Our Foundation

For over three decades, Entropia has held a strong commitment to developing communication solutions, understanding that our responsibility extends beyond connectivity to encompass the protection of both people, assets and the planet. We harness our accumulated expertise, honed over years of innovation, and embrace progressive principles to safeguard valuable resources.

This dedication is clearly visible in our strategic implementation of energy-efficient network infrastructure, designed to minimise environmental impact, and our ongoing exploration of renewable power sources to further reduce our reliance on traditional energy.

Our ambitious goal of achieving CO2 neutrality is not merely a target, but a testament to our long-term vision. This will be achieved through a multi-faceted approach, empowering our employees to take ownership of sustainability through impactful initiatives, launching comprehensive awareness campaigns to educate and inspire, and implementing eco-friendly practices such as robust device recycling programs and actively promoting sustainable transportation options among our workforce.

Goal 1 - 2O24/25 Entropia Head Quarters
to have zero emission vehicles.

100% electric vehicle fleet, and the investment in necessary charging infrastructure.

The installation of 100,000+ Kwh solar panels significantly boosts our renewable capacity.

The installation of heat pumps to replace gas flow, a key step towards sustainable energy use.

Switch to high-voltage connectivity to reduce losses instead of distributed low-voltage.

Goal 2 - 2O27 / Transforming Network Infrastructure: A Sustainable Energy Initiative.

Replacing more than 5,000 backup batteries at approximately 500 communication tower locations requires a complex logistical operation, involving careful planning and coordination.

Implementing fuel cells at antenna locations to replace backup batteries, significantly reducing our environmental footprint and enhancing network resilience.

Disposal of the back-up batteries through certified recycling processes, ensuring they no longer end up harming the environment.

Once a year, separate each antenna mast from the power grid and let it work on the fuel cells for a week. At 500 masts, this results in a lower CO2 footprint.

Goal 3 - 2O28 / Technical Power Reduction: Antenna Mast Optimisation

Reducing the power of antenna mast equipment and adjusting the antenna patterns, implementing a program designed to lower our environmental footprint and promote sustainable network operations.

Centralising and consolidating masts using specific antenna techniques to reduce the number of antenna masts and to greatly reduce the CO2 footprint, a strategic initiative aimed at minimising our environmental impact through efficient infrastructure management.

Entropia's Sustainable Future: Ina Broodcooren's Zero Emissions Initiative

Ina Broodcooren, co-shareholder of the Entropia group since 1997, has been instrumental in shaping our strategies to align with our mission for a healthier, safer, and greener future.

Recognising the importance of carbon neutrality, Ina has taken a leadership role in our sustainability efforts. To further her expertise, she completed the 'Take The Lead Sustainability Management' certificate at Vlerick Business School in March 2022. This course enhanced her ability to develop and implement sustainable strategies, understand consumer perspectives, and make informed investment decisions.

Ina also actively participates in Vlerick's learning community, staying updated on valuable insights and networking with other sustainability professionals. Her leadership and continuous learning are vital to achieving Entropia's sustainability goals.
